quick recap of my christmas holidays:
finished exams on the 9th - exam was uh...lotsa dates and lotsa slides. not too bad though, because the questions were phrased as "what do you think was the date of such and such"...*scrawls "i THINK it's sometime within the last 2 centuries"* went to sierra for lunch w/ mommy and then went shopping @ fairview. found a pretty coat @ le chateau but they didn't carry it in small there so we had a hold placed on a small @ promenade and drove over there STAT (what does STAT stand for anyways?). oh right...i borrowed jude the obscure by thomas hardy that day too (it was the reason we went to fairview).
10th was uh...probably shopping @ promenade...AGAIN.
11th was teaching.
12th can't rmb what i did.
13th was teaching.
14th i went skating @ the cummer community centre from 4:30-5:50 and i never fell once! *so proud* not to say i could skate either, but at least i didn't fall ~_^ it was all nice and fun until i went home and discovered bloody welts where the top of the skates had cut into my leg. i guess i won't be skating for a while until those scars go away. that nite i went to a nice get-together @ my piano teacher's house for arct performer's and teacher's students (they were actually all adults). i got to just sit and listen (for once! yay...no stress) and there was tea and cookies...that sorta affair. nice and christmassy ^____^.
15th i went shopping with sakura @ the eaton centre (i already posted about this).
16th i have no idea what i did.
17th my mommy went to finding neverland with me @ the alliance atlantis cinemas @ bv. it was a good movie...johnny depp's awesome. *sniff sniff*.
18th i went to lunch @ sakura's (the jap restaurant hehe) with jessica and carla. anna and hanna were supposed to come but uh...let's just say they were so late we left. it was good food :) spider rolls yummy.
19th i went to moopz's aunt's open house christmas party. it was sooo nice to see steph again!!! i hadn't seen her since i ran into her around march last year @ college station. and it was so nice meeting jordana too...hehehe loretto meeting ryerson indeed. samson's the cutest dog hehe =) his fur's so soft and he's so gentle. we totally pigged out, but who wouldn't with that amazing spread?? we mostly spent the evening chatting and we played some nintendo cube (awesome, awesome device =P) - wario was the strangest thing i'd ever seen, i SUCK @ mario kart, and mario TENNIS is the most MIND-MELTING GAME EVER INVENTED! we were pretty wiped out after that last game of mario tennis...wow...lol there was this one point where some kids took over the t.v. to watch beauty and the beast (the second christmassy one - not the original), and we had to sit upstairs and talk and wait for them to finish the movie. we noticed that they were upstairs too in a bit so we snuck downstairs to see if we could take over the t.v. and have some good gaming fun and lo and behold there's a teddy bear sitting there watching the movie all by his lonesome self. it was the most eerie scene ever. we stood there watching for a while, not sure what to do. do we move the bear? or do we dare to shut off the t.v.?? anyways, it was just the highlight of my holidays, probably. so nice ^___^ and relaxing, and fun!!!
20th went to vaughan mills. my opinion has already been expressed regarding that in the previous post. after that, i taught, then we went to dinner @ tak hing. yum.
21st i think i just stayed home and read all day.
22nd i went to lunch w/ leena & suzanne hehe. we met up @ yonge + eglinton, then we went down to the spaghetti factory...er...i THOUGHT it was next to the hummingbird centre, and we walked for a while east of it. it wasn't looking right, so we turned back and this time walked south and voila!!! HUGE sign spelling out the whole restaurant on the side of the building. good going suzanne ~_^! it was a wild lunch...as usual. too bad none of us actually executed the dares =P went to second cup afterwards and sat and talked for a while. nothing better than a cup of hot apple cider and a good girly chat ^___^. i got to irena's party EXACTLY at 7:00 whereas everyone else showed up a good hour late. she KNOWS i'm the punctual one! ~_^ 'twas fun seeing everyone again, especially anna who was SUPPOSED to come to lunch @ sakura's the other day. it was an eventful walk over to the skating rink (which was sadly occupied by hockey practice so they had to drive to ledbury to get a rink). by that time though, i was sitting @ her house waiting for my parents to pick me up and talking to her parents. i got to joyce's movie nite a bit late (fine, HOURS late...*sigh*). i came in while they were watching the end of the princess diaries 2. wow i'm confused *hasn't seen the first one* then we watched the incredibles, which is the FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER! it's sooo good ^___^ i wanna watch it again! it's so nice to see everyone all together too =) fun, fun, fun! i watched about a third of the terminal before i left. i thought i was going to just crash @ joyce's and watch movies all nite, but my mommy thought otherwise and got my dad to pick me up. aww the christmas cards were so cute!! THANKS GUYS! and all the presents are just adorable ^___^ for a moment, we were all back @ the abbey again and everything was all right.
23rd i went to glow spa with jessica, carla, hanna and anna. it's so nice and relaxing there *sigh of bliss* early grey tea w/ burgamot..mmm..my pedicure still looks pretty good too. it took her an hour to do it, but they were late with our appointments anyways. afterwards, we went across the street to original's and i had a daiquiri (first time i EVER got carded!!! EVER!!!) while everyone else had dinner. anna only gave me cursory rez stories...i want the DIRT!! lol...
24th i taught and then i went to midnite mass @ blessed trinity as usual. i saw sabrina!! i usually see cecilia too, but only sabrina this year. it's been so long since i've seen/talked to her too!! ^_____^ it was nice to see her again. i forgot to mention that we went to dinner @ arc de triomphe. it was um...well...the typical arc de triomphe fare.
25th i stayed @ home and uh...yeah.
26th we had company over for dinner so that was nice. sunshine came over and bullied penny again but at least he didn't whine so much *covers ears*. good dinner @ any rate...yummy dessert toooooooo =P
27th i phoned everyone frantically to see if they could come to tuesday's dinner. i was being a pest and i ate chocolate cake w/ slices of cheddar cheese for dinner.
28th met up with rosa and joyce @ fairview to watch spanglish (awesome movie by the way..funny and mature). i wasn't thrilled with the ending, tho i agree that it was better than a fairy-tale sort of ending. afterwards, i met up w/ sakura @ empress walk and we watched lemony snickets - a series of unfortunate events, which was quirky and funny and odd. sakura LOVES it, and i find the visuals delightful. it was a fun movie all in all - minus jim carrey, i'm sorry to say. he really wasn't fitting into the rest of it and took me out of the wonderland i was in. after that we stood outside the new ichiban and phoned a bunch of ppl incessantly to convince them to come. grrrr...chimine i hate you!! helma came, then leena joined us, and finally rosa. we had our own private room and it was sooooo pretty!! after dinner - which was oddly a success despite all the no-shows and late-shows - we walked over to sakura's house and had dessert. yummy pecan pie and pineapple cheesecake ^____^
29th was the hot pot dinner @ tak hing. lol we tried to find our reservations under "donna" and we couldn't find it hehehehe we were sooo panicked for a bit. anyways, those plates of beef were smaller than the last time we were there, but we had sooo many!! it kinda sucked that we had to wait half an hour for the "bad" beef, but it was all good in the end 'cuz we got to see ppl and talk.
30th was uh...stressful. first of all, my mom dragged me to the optician's and made me try on contacts. it took the optician roughly an hour and a half to get both of them on me, and then it took me roughly 45 minutes at home to get them off. then there was the reunion dinner, which i swear i am no longer organizing ever again, which turned out okay. we actually had a total of 9 ppl @ our table by the end of dinner. sotto sotto's is so nice ^___^ i wanna bring sakura w/ me there next time. but we'll have to reserve under another person's name and use somebody else's credit card number 'cuz uh...some ppl showed up pretty late and restaurants aren't usually too happy about that. got home amazingly early tho, considering how i got home around 11 or 12 every nite before.
31st went to sakura's @ 5:00 and played mario's cookie thingy for a while. then my left contact lens fell out :S and it took a while for me to put it back in *painful, painful* we had a great dinner w/ roast beef, and garlic bread, and salad, and yummy peach dessert. THANKS SAKURA! *huggies* then we made pecan pie!!! it was soo much fun!!! i'm sorry i can't wash the dishes properly, sakura!! but that was amazing pie!!! we watched the just for laughs countdown. it's soooo funny ^___^
