okay *deep breath* self-counselling moment here:
exams i got back - eng, french, calc, philo
one i'm happiest with - eng.
one that's lowest - eng.
one that's highest - calc
hopes: philo mark will go up 'cuz sr. gloria put it out of 95 when it should be out of 90 and there are two multiple choice questions that we might get credit for; o'neil's going thru our exams w/ us and hopefully boosting our marks a bit
failures: stupid mistakes....*bangs head against screen* stupid stupid stupid....
courses that i need to work on: 1) ENGLISH - i have to use it as one of the 6 i send in so it's just gotta be good!!!
2) french - i KNOW i can do better! so why am i just so lazy???
3) physics - here it's a case of just doing the hwk...
4) algeo - same as above -_-*
plans of action lol: 1) read like mad every book that i'm near (if u treasure any particular books, don't let them near me!); let strunk&white's elements of style be my new bible
2) french - i dunno...work harder?!?!
3) physics - do the hwk
4) algeo - ditto above
immediate worries: getting back algeo and physics exam; i'm ok with eng. lit. (she promised us they were okay and i believe her)
university troubles: since when does student profile mean 2 500-word essays??? just ask TRINITY!!! >-< PLUS waterloo's just waaaay too demanding, lemme elaborate:
1) 2 confidential letters of recommendation that i have to get teachers to fill out for me for march 14th
2) a sheet i have to fill out about what i've done to pursue my architectural interest and any things that have affected my marks (oooooh the possibilities)
3) if they like my grades they'll invite me to an interview in april
4) i get 25 minutes to present a portfolio (that still doesn't exist as of yet) and write an english précis test.
lemme explain the latter - i have to read a "fairly challenging" excerpt and summarize it. THEN i have to summarize the summary into a sentence. could somebody just shoot me now???
cons in life: nobody feels sorry for me and will agree to giving each of my courses a 5% boost
